The Backcountry Guardian is TNT Solutions’ flagship fire and rescue UTV, engineered to bring serious suppression and rescue capability into areas traditional apparatus can’t easily access. Built on the CFMOTO UFORCE U10 Pro platform, the Guardian combines a 100-gallon integrated water tank, versatile pumping capabilities, advanced emergency lighting and integrated rescue features in one compact off-road unit.
Designed for departments that need both fire suppression and rescue capability beyond the pavement, the Guardian delivers the familiar functionality of a fire apparatus in a highly maneuverable platform.

Why a Built in Water Tank?
The Guardian’s 100-gallon water tank is built directly into the vehicle rather than added as a traditional skid unit. This helps lower the centre of gravity, improve weight distribution and preserve valuable space for firefighting and rescue equipment, while maintaining the maneuverability needed for off-road response.
The Backcountry Guardian’s 100-gallon tank is custom-built from high-strength polyethylene for durability in demanding off-road environments. Its corrosion-resistant construction eliminates the need for welded seams, while the molded and CNC-cut design reduces weight and helps prevent leaks. Built to withstand vibration, rough terrain and extreme temperature changes, the tank provides a durable, low-maintenance water storage solution designed for long-term emergency service.
Every Backcountry Guardian water tank is integrated into the complete suppression system. Internal baffling helps control water movement on steep grades, while a low-draw pickup maintains consistent flow to the pump even when operating at challenging angles. Integrated fill and drain ports make refilling and maintenance straightforward, creating a balanced system designed for reliable operation in demanding terrain.
Optional Track System
The Backcountry Guardian can be equipped with a Canadian-made track system designed for demanding terrain and winter conditions. The larger footprint improves flotation, traction and weight distribution across snow, mud and uneven ground, giving crews greater access to areas conventional emergency vehicles can’t easily reach. The system is engineered for durability, reliability and year-round emergency response.

The Backcountry Guardian uses the Whelen Core® control system to bring emergency lighting, scene lighting and other vehicle functions into one centralized interface. Fully programmable and configured in-house by TNT Solutions, Core allows each Guardian to be tailored to the department’s operational needs while providing advanced diagnostics and reliable, intuitive control.

The Guardian uses Whelen T-ION™ lights to provide powerful emergency warning in a compact, low-profile design. Multiple mounting and colour options allow the lighting package to be configured around each department’s needs, delivering strong visibility without adding unnecessary bulk to the vehicle.
Computer Programming & System Customization
Every Guardian lighting and control system is programmed in-house by TNT Solutions using Whelen Command™ software. Switch logic, scene lighting, safety functions and other controls are configured around the department’s operational needs, creating an intuitive system that operates more like a full-size fire apparatus.
Expandability & Advanced Features
Whelen Core® allows the Guardian’s control system to expand with additional features as needed. Available options include vehicle-to-vehicle synchronization, advanced diagnostics, safety flash modes and power monitoring, giving departments greater control and flexibility as their operational needs evolve.
Park, Cruise & Low Power Modes
Every Guardian can be programmed with automatic lighting modes based on vehicle status:
- Park Mode: Adjusts the warning pattern when the vehicle is stationary for effective scene visibility.
- Cruise Mode: Automatically changes the warning pattern while the vehicle is moving.
- Low Power / Night Mode: Reduces selected lighting intensity during nighttime operations to help preserve visibility around the scene.
These programmable modes allow the lighting system to adapt automatically between driving, stationary and nighttime operations.
